Learning German

I’ve applied for being an exchange student in Berlin this autumn and I’m so excited! Can’t remember if I wrote it earlier but I’ve been taking German courses for half a year now, so hopefully I’ll be prepared when I move there. I think people learn the most when having fun and since I like to watch YouTube videos and listen to music, I’ve listened to a lot of German songs lately. This is my favourite right now!

On holiday

Hey! I’ve spent a week in south Spain with my friend and her boyfriend. It was great to escape the cold Swedish winter for a while. In Spain we went for hiking in the mountains. Here’s two photos from the top of the mountain Sierra Bermeja, Estepona. We where above the clouds… Magical start 2017.

Pizza, plans and parties

Yesterday we had our first presentation seminar which was a group presentation on a topic in global media cultures. Me and two girls from the class have worked a lot on the assignment so I hope we’ll pass. We worked very late one day and to stay motivated we bought two pizzas that we shared. Pizza energy was what we needed! 😉

In the evening I invited some friends for a party at my place. It was so much fun! We went to a pub in the city around midnight and stayed until they closed. I’m a little bit tired today…

thumb_IMG_8506_1024Last news for this blog post is this cute little thing! I bought it in Munich. 🙂 I really like writing down everything that has to be done.

Back to school

So, I’m back for another two years at the university. This first week has so far been intense even though our first real lecture starts next Monday. In Jönköping the first two weeks at university are called the kick off weeks and it’s partying going on during days and nights. It feels like half the city are students that are running around in colourful painting overalls that are part of the student life here. Since I’ve already done a lot of partying while I studied my bachelor I’m not participating that much in the kick off weeks anymore but I think it’s a fun thing for the new students. 🙂

The first week in school has started very well and I’ve a very interesting and fun class with people from almost all countries in Europe and some girls from China. I really like when there’s a mixture of people and cultures in one class!

Hallo München

I’m in Germany! 🙂

I’ve only been in this country ones when I was a little kid so I didn’t know much of what to expect when I got here. After spending one day in the city centre I think it looks similar to the bigger cities in Sweden – Gothenburg and Stockholm. The biggest difference is for sure the warm weather and all the people here. As you can see in the pictures below it was rainy in the morning but the sun came after lunch time. 🙂

I’ve tried two different cafées today. At one of them I got the biggest piece of apricot pie I’ve ever seen! I had to leave half of it since it was a little bit too sweet and too much.

Fika is always nice though. 😉

With only one work day left, I’ve start to pack my cabin bag for this weekends adventure! It will be a weekend trip in a bigger city in Europe and I’ll bring my camera with me.

A cute passport holder is almost a must while traveling. This one is from H&M and I bought it for some years ago. It has followed me around on many flights and I still like it as much as when I first saw it. I hesitated to buy it since I thought it was an unimportant thing to buy but now I can’t imagine having my passport without pretty roses on it. 😉

Social media inspiration

Social media is one of my biggest interests and I can spend a complete evening reading blogs and watching YouTube videos. I might be a little bit of a social media nerd sometimes but it keeps me in good mood and makes me inspired for trying new things. 🙂

There are some people that I follow on a daily basis and I always looking forward for their updates. One of my favourite YouTube channels is Jenny Mustard, which is made by a Swedish couple that currently are living in Berlin. They are both minimalists and vegans and I’m always getting inspired from their well made videos with interesting subjects. Have a look at one of their videos above!
